Almost 23 million euros has been paid in business cost support – now is good time to apply

Companies have been able to apply for temporary cost support from the State Treasury for three weeks now. The State Treasury implemented an excep-tional digital project in the state administration quickly and successfully. The starting point for the implementation was customer experience and service orientation. The service was designed and built in less than two months.

Customers praise the service as successful, and good feedback has also been received from stakeholders and decision-makers. The success is based on the State Treasury’s experience in agile development, electronic customer service, service-oriented planning and employees committed to their work.

Status report on cost support

A total of 5 927 applications have been received. To date, 22 784 020 euros has been paid.

Most of the cost support has been applied for in the land transport and pipe-line transport, catering and retail industries. The sectors that received the most support are land transport and pipeline transport, retail and wholesale. The industries covered by cost support are determined by law and regulation.

You can apply for cost support until August 31, 2020 – now is a good time to apply

To date, cost support applications have been received at an average of 296 per day. The support was launched in the middle of the holiday season, and the number of applications is expected to increase towards the end of the ap-plication period. The State Treasury is fully prepared to serve cost support applicants.

Although there is time to apply for support until the end of August, it is advisa-ble to apply for support when the time is right for the company’s operations.

The processing of applications has been very fast. Companies eligible for cost support have received the support in their account within a few days of sub-mitting the application.
