The aim of the Municipal Data programme (Kuntatieto-ohjelma), a development programme for statistics creation and information management, is to enhance the production and availability of financial information concerning public budget plans and the economic programme of municipalities, as well as information required by municipalities in their decision-making.

The functional goal of the Municipal Data programme will be achieved with the following measures:

• A reform of municipal financial reporting as part of the regional government reform in 2017–2019
  A roadmap proposal to implement the Municipal Data programme’s results >
